Dr Pushpendra Rai

A renowned global authority on intellectual property with the UN’s World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Geneva, and an IAS officer who served the Government of India at the union and state levels, Dr Pushpendra Rai has few peers and equals in real-world public policy strategy and implementation at the global, country, state, and local levels.

Dr Rai was Director with WIPO and headed its Intellectual Property and Economic Development Division. Between 1999 and 2015, he coordinated WIPO’s activities and studies related to intellectual property and economic development, implemented programs to assist developing countries and countries make strategic use of intellectual property for development, and developed synergistic strengths with other international organizations and specialized agencies.

Before joining WIPO in 1999, Dr Rai’s impactful contributions in public policy and governance as an IAS officer included economic development, energy management, international trade and cooperation, and intellectual property rights. For several years, he represented India at various bilateral and multilateral economic and trade negotiations.


Dr Ganesh Natarajan

A renowned technology futurist, business builder and entrepreneurship mentor with decades of creating corporate success for prominent IT companies APTECH and Zensar, Dr Ganesh Natarajan brings to CIPP not only from his treasure trove of experience in business leadership and implementation, but also policy learnings from his current research-led work with social enterprises and start-ups.

Dr Natarajan is Founder of 5F World, a platform dedicated to investment and mentoring of start-ups, skills platforms and social enterprises. He is Chairman of Honeywell Automation India Ltd, Skills Alpha, Pune City Connect, and the Lighthouse Communities Foundation, and Co-Founder of Global Talent Track, Kalzoom Advisors, and Center for AI and Advanced Analytics.

He is an Independent Director on the Boards of State Bank of India, Principal Asset Management, Hinduja Global Services, LHI Digital, Educate Girls, 1 Crowd, and the Asian Venture Philanthropy Network.
